its got a bit of a soul calibur feel to it
(sword from the 2nd game (the best game out the lot i might add))

this piece was completly made out of crescents :P

so yeah valkyries are from norse culture
mostly depicted as angels
they watch over the scenes of war and mass violence, and decide who will die in battle.

norse culture dying in violence you will be sent to heaven
and if you die peacefully you are sent to hell.

well its a good way into brain washing people to be as murdery as possible

got the idea to do this after watching max payne

heaven and hel dont work the same in norse
the warriors were selected to serve in vallhalla and aid the gods in the battle of ragnarock, the norse apocalypse

Unless you're referring to Asgard and Midgard, there is no heaven in Norse culture and Loki's domain is the closest thing they have to a hell, and the Valkyries were around long before christianity's angels even became popular. If anything, it's the angels that are portrayed as valkyries.
Their role was deciding which warriors were potent enough to be taken and resurrected as Einherjar, in Valhalla.
Please actually read about things before you sum them up.

wow those wings are amazing! i am actually looking for wings similar to that to get on my back. in between the wings at the top will be my husbands name in viking runes :) he is getting a vulknut and thors hammer so my tattoo will play off his.
